Reception is open at the following times:
A doctor is always on call for emergencies. Outside surgery hours you telephone the same surgery number as usual and you will be asked to phone another number to speak to the Duty Doctor. A Doctor will offer you advice over the telephone if appropriate, or will arrange for you to come to them if required. From April 1996 patients are normally expected to see the doctor in the out-of-hours centre which is currently based at Ards Hospital. However if the doctor feels that you really need a home visit, then this will be arranged.
Patients must phone the “Doctors on Call” service before attending the base on 028 91 822344.
The Out-of-Hours service is provided for medical emergencies which cannot wait until the next surgery. Please note that this service do NOT issue Repeat Medication Requests.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
